Why should I join the Parent Coalition?

• If you are looking for ways to increase your knowledge of resources and services that could benefit children and families or if you would like to network with other parents and parent groups in Oakland County, you should join.
  
• If you would like to build your leadership and advocacy skills to help benefit young children, you should join. Parents are leaders when they speak on behalf of their own children, a group of children or when speaking out for all children. Advocacy comes in all forms, not just involving change in legislation.
  
• Our meetings are fun! We fill them with teaching experiences, problems to wrestle with, child and parent-friendly door prizes, child care and meals. Throughout the year, our meetings fall on different days at different times to allow parents with various schedules to attend.
