One
of the goals of the Great Start Collaborative-Oakland is to complete a local early
childhood system assessment. The Great Start Collaborative-Oakland will oversee
the development of a strategic plan for the Great Start system in the county.
The content of the strategic plan will be informed by the findings of this local
early childhood system assessment. The local early childhood system assessment
has three required elements: - The
preparation of a Community Report Card on Early Childhood on the current status
of infants, young children and their families in the community. To view our Community

- Completion
of a Strategic Review of Local Great Start System Components,
- Completion
of an Early Childhood Infrastructure Review that examines existing early childhood
system infrastructure including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, funding,
data collection and sharing, accountability, formal interagency agreements, etc.
The
strategic plan will include the Local Great Start System Components:
- Physical
Health
- Social
& Emotional Health
- Parenting
Education & Family Support
- Early
Care & Education
- Basic
Needs, Economic Security & Child Safety
